Details
-------
10.30am: The CLAO people were already there, as we had a Listening Comprension and Oral this morning. Yunching arrived at 9.50am, Xiaonan arrived at 10.20am. Melvin, Mildrid and Weizhen were all there, but were occupied for the day, and so were unable to join us. The rest were then playing with the ball, and it took a long time before we were able to get them all to stop playing and change, around 10.40am.

11.00am: Everyone was dressed up and ready to go, crossed the road and took 66 to Newton, where we took the MRT to city hall

11.29am: Arrived at the City Hall MRT, but no-one was there yet. Tai An soon arrived, decked in black, from the escalators. Sookfen was then at Dhoby Ghaut station, Grace had something on and couldn't make it, Jiaqi informed us that he'd be arriving at 12.45pm. Yi Li arrived at around 11.45pm, and we finally set off for lunch at the food court.

12.20pm: with everyone's hunger appeased and nothing to do but wait, Yi Li came up with the game of concentration and challenged Jeremy to it. David also had his game of Concentration, where the group played happily, drawing much curious stares from amused passerbys. David's game was about each player picking an animal or two, and then calling another person by mimicing his animal's actions. All was going well, until Yunching chose an 'inappropriate' animal, the wolf, and using the wolf howl as the call. If it wasn't done properly, one might have seen it like a kiss, and Lennon's first call to Yunching caused everyone to dissolve into peals of laughter. Needless to say, Yunching was laughing too hard to reply and continue the game, and hence lost. Yili's call to Yunching yet again made everyone burst out laughing, especially as he didn't do the action the supposedly proper way. Jiaqi arrived at around 12.40, and Sookfen had then lost the game, so we all left for the bus stop outside Suntec to catch the bus 36. It took a long long time before the bus finally arrived, and was so packed, and while waiting some stoned, some talked, and one such interesting topic includes Sookfen sharing an interesting revelation about the highly-reflective marble floors in her school, which when left to the wild minds of teenages, conjured up plenty of scenarios and things which can possibly happen.

02.15pm: Got off at the stop and crossed the bridge. Bought two packs of chips at the 7-11 shop, and the whole bunch shared a slurpee through three straws. Arrived at the beach at around 02.30pm, and settled down to playing football at 02.40pm. Jeremy, Junyi, Yunching, Sookfen and Xiaonan didn't join in, but sat down at a corner talking. The girls seems rather interested in Yunching's FHM magazine too, pointing here and there, and the guys practically had to pull the magazine away from them to get them to skate. Nankun was trying to find us, and called us several times to check where we are and even enquire the number of the lamppost.

03.35pm: Decided it's time to skate, and Lennon and Christoper joined over from the football game. Only Jeremy, Christopher, Yunching and Lennon had some experience in skating, so the other three struggled to stay in balance and to move forward. The humps did pose quite a challenge for us to cross, and caused a lot of falling & cursing. The footballers were also joined with some other people, of which their identity the narrator is not really sure of.

04.50pm: Regrouped at the Rental Store, and decided to skate for another hour. Borrowed the pair of wristguards for each of us. Sookfen changed over to bikes, while the rest except Lennon ("Out of money!") continued skating. All returned to the bags to place our shoes, and then supposed to continue to skate to MacDonalds. Slowly skating out towards the main road when ...

05.05pm: ... Xiaonan fell at the slope leading out. Damage uncertain, no visible signs of fracture, other than minor abrasions to the skin, however was very painful, according to her. When the pain didn't subside, Yunching left to find where to get first aid. Upon knowing that there might be a police post somewhere ahead, Jeremy and Christopher sped off ahead. Supposedly Jeremy fell terribly when crossing the hump at a high speed, but no significant lasting harm was done, at least according to him. Later found out that the Police Post was long closed, and all gathered outside a rental shop. Sookfen stayed behind to look after Xiaonan, while the rest decided to finish up the remaining 20 minutes of their rental time, then go off to the nearest clinic.

05.50pm: The last of them all gather at the place where the bags were placed. Evidently Yi Li went in search of Nankun and Jiejing, and we didn't notice him until we were near the bus stop. His handphone was flat too. Caught bus 196 to some clinic near Parkway Parade. There was a TV inside the clinic, which several suggested watching the World Cup from, until we realised it was some kind of HeartLanders' channel. As it was taking quite a long time, the rest went for drinks at the nearby hawker centre, and some others also went to buy some stuff from the nearby shops, like Jiaqi, who got a windchime, and Jeremy, who got a present (shh!). When it was over, we were told that the doctor recommended that Xiaonan go to SGH. Yunching then suggested that they take a taxi there so that they can get the appropriate treatment faster, and Jeremy and Sookfen volunteered to go along. The rest then followed by bus.

06.55pm: Group 1
According to reputable second-hand accounts of the taxi, only Sookfen and Xiaonan was talking and laughing on the way to SGH. Yunching didn't talk much, as put in his own words, "lian3 chao4 chao3", and Jeremy was in "energy saving mode". They supposedly arrived in 20 minutes time, and settled the procedures before waiting for the doctor's consultation.

06.55pm: Group 2
Group 2 had a much more "fun-er" time, in a sense. Took 36 to Suntec, and for some reasons Jiaqi, Junyi and Lennon took to the first few seats on the upper deck while Christopher, Taian and Dobson stayed at the lower deck, at the backmost seats. Jiaqi then received several SMSes about Turkey and Korea scoring like mad, which prompted a rather interesting discussion of the football match. Got off and Suntec, where we sat in front of the big screen for a while (Jiaqi: Ehh wait until 25th minute then go lah!), and only reluctantly left at the 26 min. Even then we kept turning our heads back to the screen, effectively lowering our safety index by quite a few points, to make sure we didn't miss anymore of those wild goals. Didn't get onto the MRT until it was past the 34 minute. Headed to Outram Park, where we got off and walked into SGH, followed the confusing signs to the A & E department ("Huh?? A&E Dept is on the 2nd level?"). Met up Group 1.

08.00pm: Sat around watching the football match on the TV, and was provided occasional humour by Yunching as he points out various interesting parts of his FHM magazine.

08:15pm: Sookfen and Xiaonan went into consultation room, while the rest continued to sit outside doing whatever they were doing.

08:25pm: Waiting to be X-Rayed. It was quite a boring part, actually, other than Yunching buying the 70c prawn crackers and sharing it with us. Talked about the possibilities of the extent of the injuries, and no one really thinks that this injury would be more than "a hair-line crack" or "a dislocated finger".

08:30pm: Xiaonan's exposure to radiation jumped by a few curies after exiting the x-ray room, and again we waited and waited outside the consultation room. Jeremy and Sookfen had an interesting debate on what would happen if the hand x-rayed was interpreted as a foot by the doctors, and roleplayed their reactions. Talked so much and made so much noise that we ended up drawing black faces from the other patients and staff in our general direction. The rest were then deciding whether or not to go for dinner, and decided to wait for everything to be done.

09.00pm: Were told that the hand was fractured, as asked to see the hand specialist. Part of the group decided to go for dinner first, while several stayed behind. Jeremy somehow persuaded Christopher to press the "open" button next to the door leading into the room, and elicited some sense of curiousity from the staff inside. The doctor came and told her about what is going to happen, which was to be repeated by the nurse shortly after.

09.20pm: After some waiting again, Xiaonan finally got her hand bandaged. Paid up at the counter, and the bill seemed to be heavily subsided, from $200+ to $80. Collected the medicine and lotion at the pharmacy, where she expressed her confusion as to how to apply the lotion on the injured hand when it's all bandaged.

09.30pm: Went after those who were eating at the food court. On reaching, the food court was already closing, so the group decided to go to 7-11 and get something else to eat.

10.00pm: After buying all the sandwiches, cakes and drinks we want, we settled down near a bench outside 7-11, where we ate a pack of the chips we bought earlier on this morning. Jiaqi forgot to charge his camera, and hence missed the golden opportunity to take a photo of Tai An indulged into music making. This also explains the lack of photos today, as Grace didn't come and Jiaqi's camera uncharged. Just talked a bit and finally decided to go home at 10.30pm.
